Advent trail Katschberg

The winter fairy tale for the pre-Christmas season!

Do you know what it feels like to spend Christmas in the mountains? Fairy tales from snow-covered valleys, torches along the way, warming teapots by the open fire, songs and tunes from the Weisenbläser (performers of Austrian instrumental folk music) from the old and lovingly restored barns along the way—this is the Advent Trail at Katschberg.

Many people are drawn to the mountain in the remote Gontal valley every year, which can be reached either on foot or by horse-drawn sleigh.
The 2.5-kilometer-long foot march takes you from the Pritzhütte, cabin to cabin, and to the crib. Singing performances, storytellers, music performances, craft demonstrations, and more will really bring the anticipation of Christmas to life.

Christmas in a different way

The silence of nature, the deep snow-covered valley, and the footpath give Christmas a completely new spirit on your winter vacation.

This is how a winter vacation at Katschberg can begin at the Hinteregger family hotel. If you have any questions about your family vacation, please send us an e-mail at: urlaub@hotel-hinteregger.at or call us at: +43 4734 219.
